Proactive Response

 

Proactive Response is a contract service that is enabled for your account by UPS. This service is designed for shippers in the health care industry.

 

This option allows UPS to monitor specific packages for delays and use reasonable efforts to communicate the package status to the customer.

 

It is available for Next Day Air, Next Day Air Saver, and Next Day Air Early AM. Proactive Response shipments to Puerto Rico are available for Next Day Air. For other International destinations, it is available for Worldwide Saver, Worldwide Express, and Worldwide Express Plus.

 

Setup

The Proactive Response contract service must be enabled for the UPS account in UPS Account Setup in order to use it.  To do this, go to Setup > Carrier Interfaces > UPS, click the Accounts tab, and select to Edit the UPS account. The setting is on the Contract Settings tab.

 

Shipping

On the Ship screen, check the UPS Proactive Response check box under Package Options.
