Setup Overview

In order to create and modify interfaces in the SQL Interface Builder, you should know the following :

• SQL and how to write queries;
• the structure of the databases that StarShip will be accessing;
• where data is coming from in those databases;
• what data has to be pulled into StarShip from customer, item, packaging, etc.;
• what should be written back from StarShip to the financial system, and what fields in the financial system will be populated with this data; for example : tracking numbers, charges, address changes, etc.

The SQL Interface Builder

You can launch the SQL Interface Builder from the StarShip Client Program menu.
