This document is intended for users of the Masterform Interface to get set up and start shipping with the current version of StarShip.
For single user installations of StarShip, it is sufficient to install a copy of Masterform locally on the StarShip client machine. The user is only required to make an adjustment to the MF.ini file:

For configuration scenarios where multiple StarShip client installations will be accessing the same shipments and posting may occur from any of the connected workstations, the database files for Masterform should be located in a centrally accessible location. Unfortunately, the Masterform installer does not support easy configuration of separate program and data. The Exchange.mdb and ExportWS.mdb files will need to be copied from the normal install paths (usually C:\MF_UPS and C:\UPSExport) to a new location, and the MF.ini file should be updated as follows:

dbExchange=R:\SharedMF\MF_UPS\Exchange.mdb
The paths, represented by “R:\SharedMF\UPSExport” and “R:\SharedMF\MF_UPS” should be replaced with the path(s) selected by the installing user.
It is also important that each machine that might run Masterform include a local copy of the main program files. It is not recommended that a centrally located installation be run from a different machine.
