Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Easy Printer Drivers
The Screwdriver and Quest Easy Print EMF printer redirection drivers are unsupported by StarShip
There is Group policy item "Use Terminal Services Easy Print printer driver first" that needs to be disabled on the terminal server so that the terminal server attempts to find a suitable driver loaded on the terminal server to map the client auto-created printer .
This policy object can be found in the Group Policy Management Console:Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Printer Redirection
Redirected Session Printers
When using redirected session printers from the remote workstation, the matching printer driver has to be installed on both the local machine where the print device is attached, as well as on the Terminal Server hosting StarShip.
USB scale re-directors supported over Terminal Services/Citrix
StarShip supports the following USB re-directors. Each must be licensed and licensing is the responsibility of the customer based on the number of devices/users/connections. There is a 15 day trial available for download on the vendor's website.
Each re-director has a Client/Workstation and Server component. The Client component must be installed on the shipping PC where the USB electronic scale device is attached. The Server component should be installed on the Terminal Server where the StarShip Client application is loaded.
StarShip can be configured to communicate with the re-directed device from within the Citrix/Terminal Services session. To do this :
For more information, see Scale Interface setup in the StarShip Help.
