StarShip consists of the following components.
The StarShip Client (Desktop) is the application that processes shipments. This is also where you perform shipping setup and financial system interface customization. It can be installed on all computers that ship.
The StarShip Web Client (Web UI) is the web-based version of StarShip. It should be installed on all computers that ship. The StarShip Connector is installed as part of the Web UI, and handles Printing, Scale, and some Source Interface connections.
The StarShip Server Manager facilitates incoming StarShip Client connections and processes carrier transactions. It allows you to administer users, perform database functions, view transaction logs, etc. You should install the StarShip Server Manager on only one computer.
The StarShip Microsoft SQL Database stores StarShip data, such as shipments or addresses. You only need one StarShip database.
The StarShip Dashboard is a web-based analysis and reporting tool that enables users to access and analyze shipment information. It can be installed on any computer, independently of other StarShip components.
