Certified Mail

When you use Certified Mail, you are given a receipt stamped with the date of mailing. A unique article number allows you to verify delivery online. As an additional security feature, the recipient’s signature is obtained at the time of delivery and a record is maintained by the Post Office. For an additional fee, you can request a copy of the signature record before or after delivery with Return Receipt.

C.O.D.

C.O.D. collection services allow you to collect funds from your customers upon delivery of the shipment.

See Shipment Options > COD for more information.

Delivery Confirmation

Delivery Confirmation is a low-cost option that allows you to verify delivery of your shipment. You can view the date, ZIP Code, and time your article was delivered, or the date and time of a delivery attempt.

Signature Confirmation

The Signature option is available when you check Delivery Confirmation under Package Options.

Express Delivery Options

When the Express Mail service is selected, you can choose additional Express Delivery options (for a fee). Specify delivery on:

Hold for Pickup

This service is newly expanded, providing customers with more options to have packages held at a Post Office until they’re able to pick them up, instead of having them delivered.

Insurance

Insurance can be set up at the package or shipment level, depending upon how you choose to apply it.

See Shipment Options > Insurance for more information.

Non-Machinable

Registered Mail

This is the most secure United States Postal Service® mail. Registered Mail is available only for First-Class Mail®, First-Class Package Service, or Priority Mail® (excluding Critical Mail) service items that are mailable.

For fee information, visit the USPS website.

Return Receipt

Return Receipt provides proof of delivery by mail or e-mail. StarShip supports e-mail return receipt, for which Endicia charges a fee. Email return receipt is not valid for Express.

Saturday Delivery/Sunday and Holiday Delivery

With the Saturday Delivery option, you can select that your shipment be delivered on Saturday. Where applicable, users can select Sunday and Holiday Delivery for an additional fee. The Sunday/Holiday fee will not be applied to the Hold for Pickup service even though the customer may be able to pick up their package on a Sunday and/or holiday. The Shipment Options tab allows you to select Sunday or Holiday from the Type drop-down list.

Signature Confirmation

The Signature Confirmation option requires a signature from the person who accepts the package in addition to delivery verification.

See Delivery Confirmation for more information about enabling the Signature option.

Signature Waiver

This option authorizes shipment delivery at the letter carrier's discretion (if area is secured and protected from weather) without obtaining the recipient's signature. Signature Waiver is only supported for Express domestic shipments. USPS will now require an addressee’s signature only when explicitly requested.
