Add a Company

StarShip allows you to import and ship with more than one set of company information. For each company, you can assign a specific interface that includes your customized field mapping and data translations. This procedure shows you how to select which Dynamics GP companies will be accessible from StarShip.

Follow these instructions to add your company to StarShip:

1. In the StarShip window, click Setup > Financial System Interface > Microsoft Dynamics GP (your version). If you don't see this, select Use Financial System and choose the financial system.
   
   
   
    
   

2. From My Companies, click Add Company.

3. Type in the Server name, leaving the database field set to DYNAMICS, and enter your authentication information.
   
   Permissions : In order for StarShip to connect to your Dynamics GP company :
   
   * the user/SQL account used will need SQL read permissions for the DYNAMICS (Dynamics system) database;
   
   * the user/SQL account used will need SQL read/write permissions for each Dynamics company database.
   
   

Click Next.

4. In the Company field, select the company from the drop-down list.

5. Click the Test Connection button to confirm that StarShip has successfully connected to the company.
   
   

6. Click OK.
   
   
   
   
    

7. Repeat this procedure for each company you want StarShip to access.
